Our Process

1. Listen.

The first and most important step is listening to your needs. You know your organization’s goals better than anyone, and we’ll meet with you to develop a plan to accomplish them with a well-crafted communications strategy.

We’ll discuss your vision for the project, what audience you’re trying to reach, what message you want to convey and what kind of impression you want to leave with viewers.

If we’re a good fit for the project (and we’ll be honest with you if we’re not), then we’ll quote a price and schedule the production timetable.

2. Shoot.

On the day(s) of the shoot we’ll arrive early to set up lighting, cameras and other equipment as needed for the project.

We’ll work around your schedule and try to minimize the impact on your regular operations. In fact, we think today’s best communications are honest communications — showing the truth about how you operate and what you’re trying to do. We’ll shoot interviews and B-roll and collect all the media needed to put your truth in its best light.

3. Show and refine.

After the shoot, we’ll start the editing and post-production process to create the look, feel and message you had in mind. Then we’ll show you the finished product and make refinements as needed to fine-tune the piece.

Aerial Imagery

Drones have revolutionized the creative industry by dramatically lowering the cost of aerial photography and videography. And drones are an important part of our tool set to help you deliver powerful, polished, professional messages.

Not all drone operators are the same, though. Some things that set us apart:

  • Drones are just one part of our storytelling toolbelt to use as needed in certain projects, but they’re not our main focus. With how commonplace drone footage is becoming today, it’s easy to look gimmicky if it’s overused. It’s a wonderful tool, sure, but just one small part of an effective communication strategy.
  • We hold an FAA certificate to operate drones legally and safely within the national airspace system. In fact, the owner of our company is a private pilot who flies airplanes, too. We operate by the book and follow the rules and regulations designed to keep you and your reputation safe.
  • If a drone operator tells you FAA certification isn’t really required for commercial drone flights, federal regulations don’t really matter, and especially if they don’t notify air traffic control when operating a drone within 5 miles of an airport, those should all be red flags.
